Abstract: The article offers a detailed examination of how the death of former Bulgarian Prince Alexander I (born Prince of Battenberg) in 1893 was covered in the Central and Western European press, with some references to the United States. It highlights the range of media outlets, the logic behind their distribution, the ideological and political affiliations of the newspapers, the main themes addressed, and the boundaries within which the image of Alexander was constructed.
